On Thursday, February 2, 2015, representatives from the
Georgia Public Library Service and the Georgia Library Association distributed
prints of “Fishing in the Chattahoochee” to Georgia legislators. The prints
were created by artist Debi Davis with funding from Mumford Books in
Jacksonville Florida.
The purpose of distributing the prints to the Georgia
legislatives is to raise awareness about the importance of Georgia libraries
and the need for continued support from the legislature. This year Julie
Walker, Elizabeth McKinney, Whitney Payne, Wendy Cornelisen, Jessica
Everingham, Kathy Pillatzki, and Carolyn Fuller distributed the prints to legislators
at the State Capitol.
